Arizona Philharmonic (AZ Phil) and the Highlands Center for Natural History welcome the change of seasons with a chamber music concert at the Highlands Center’s Kiwanis Amphitheater, 1375 Walker Rd, Prescott, on Saturday, September 13 at 6:30pm. Enjoy the beauty of nature with the charm of live music in this open-air concert featuring the Arizona Philharmonic’s woodwind trio of oboe, clarinet, and bassoon. Mary Simon (oboe), Mary Jackson (clarinet), and Chip King (bassoon) perform an eclectic program of light classical, folk, and Americana works as the sun sets through the pines. Hear what no other venue in the region can offer: chamber music with clarity and warmth in an outdoor setting shaped by trees and sky. “It’s rare to hear this kind of music outside without sacrificing sound quality. The acoustics at the Highlands Center make it possible, and the setting adds a natural serenity no concert hall can match.” — Henry Flurry, Artistic Director Presented in partnership with the Highlands Center for Natural History, this performance showcases a shared commitment to creating meaningful experiences where art and the environment intersect.
